Morning Prayer – Day Five

In our last day at the Assembly, and keeping in mind the Emmaus story, we reflected on a picture by Velazquez, "The black woman", we were invited to voice the resonance of the image in our minds.

We are in the process of co-creating a different future for our Congregation.

We began to work in the focus groups. They cannot function as silos.  None of them has the answer, individually.  It is crucial to start a conversation between the groups.  Throughout the day, the groups discussed with one another and each one was enriched.

We ended the day sharing the Eucharist, in the knowledge that we had started our walk in the conversations and now each one, from her place in the world, must continue the walk, together, into the future.
